This was our second time staying at the Hyatt Place in Bakersfield. Both times we had a wonderful stay with clean rooms and a clean hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating. When we had an issue with our room keys, the front desk lady (I am so sorry I can't remember your name, I remember faces better than names), was helpful in finding a solution and making sure we got access to our room again as quickly as possible.

In a word: Value. Room is small but nicely appointed. Bed is comfortable. Bathroom is relatively large. Air conditioning works great (a must in Bakersfield). Free breakfast is very good of its type. Ample free parking. Didn't try the pool but it's there if you want it. Definitely would stay here again if in Bakersfield.

I’ve stayed here multiple times before and it was always pleasant, this time was terrible. I saw A COUPLE different hairs in my restroom none of which belonged to me and my family, the space above the mirror had dust bunnies, I tried to use the phone which not only wasn’t working but had the wrong room number on it. I requested a 4th floor room because I expressed to the front desk that I wanted a view and she gave us a room facing the back! We paid extra to look at the parking lot Never like this in the past, I guess this hotel has gone downhill just like plenty of other businesses.
