You can also enjoy everything the loll area has to offer, Santa cruz do Douro is UNESCO’s International Preserved Patrimony and it was considered as one of the most beautiful landscapes of the Douro River Valer. it’s in the border between a granite area and the demarcated winery are of Douro. Here is the place called “Caminho de jacinto” (Jancinto’s Path) that starts in the train station of Tormes and end by Eça de Queiroz’s Foundation, this land was the inspiration behind one of it’s biggest literature piece “A cidade e as Serras”.

The area also has a great offer in typical gastronomy and award wining wines from the Region and from Douro are available everywhere you go. Our Tradicional smoked meats and “Anho” Roasted (request “anho Assado”) in stone ancient ovens are available at many local restaurants.
