We had a family get together at the Pflugerville Tru by Hilton. Everything about our two night stay was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel and rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were especially helpful and friendly. The kids enjoyed the pool. This property is very clean, the staff was spectacular, and the area was great! Very walkable, and close to many shopping and dining options. I like Tru for their cleanliness, and honestly the lack of carpet...yes, the room is smaller, there isn't a lot on the walls as far as decoration, and some have called the lobbies, bland and dorm like...honestly, who cares when all are clean and in good working order? Personally I don't get a hotel room for the ambiance, I'm not looking for flash and elegance, when I'm passing through town. I want a nice, clean, place to spend the night and to know I'm not waking up in filth. If you're after the same, you cannot go wrong with this hotel!

I want to start out saying that we have stayed at this hotel every year for the last 4 years and this stay this time was not the best. we rented 2 rooms. First of all the lady at the front desk needed an attitude check, she really did not have good customer service skills as she was speaking to my son like she was his friend from the street not as a professional, which was not appropriate to me. He ask the lady if they had any other pool sticks for the pool table as the 2 that was there was broken she had a rude answer for him, saying that if peoples kids wouldn't break them then they would have pool sticks to use for the pool table, (not ok answer). If the hotel is going to have a pool table in the lobby for guest to use then it should be maintained as well as anything else in the hotel. Next we stayed 2 days so after the first day we were not left any clean towels by housekeeping (even though they took the dirty ones that morning), also my sons room had a bad water leak in the bathroom sink, bathroom fan did not work, shower door did not close all the way so water was all over the floor when showering. Breakfast was just ok because there was not a lot of variety for an adult.(Breakfast in the past years has been a lot better). Bottom line is this hotel seems to not keep up with their building/room maintenance. Next year we will look for a different hotel to stay until TRU gets their maintenance/rooms up to par.
