Elegant, practical.
We really liked The Loren. Great location. The service was excellent. The room was clean, comfortable. The pool was very nice. The only detail I didn't like was the noise coming from the street (City View). Take that into consideration, specially during the weekend. Other than that, our stay was excellent.

We paid for the Deluxe City View King Room which, according to the room description on their Website, meant we were supposed to have a room on one of the upper floors. I brought it up to the front desk, and since we had already gotten settled in the room, said we rather not move, but would like the difference refunded. The front desk staff said they would have to check with their manager, and that they would touch base in the morning. In the morning when I went to check out, there was entirely different staff with no knowledge of the situation. I checked out and decided not to worry about the $30-$40 because that was clearly what they expected from their clientele. The place was beautiful but is meant for high-rollers, not us common folk lol

Good, affordable and cool option in south Austin
Booked for a sort of staycation before moving out of town PROS: - dog friendly - 5 star staff - the true highlight - cool relaxed style - good poolside cocktails - great location next to auditorium shores - good price CONS: - some of the amenities are closer to that of a 4 star - we could hear the road quite loudly overnight - the AC in the room seemed to not work effectively during high demand hours - alarm went off at 2 am - big pet peeve- why do we still have alarm clocks in hotel rooms?!?

We loved our time @ The Loren. It's my new go-to staycation hotel in Austin. I love the modern design and all the plants which created a serene environment. The location is perfect, especially if you like to exercise (trails and lake are right across the street). The restaurant and coffee shop are top-notch. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. You will not be disappointed.

Welcoming! Staff is very kind and helpful. Olivia at the front desk was exceptionally terrific, very professional and she went out of her way to be accommodating. She is the first person I spoke to over the phone and upon check-in. Five star employee! The bathroom was spacious, with great finishes and one of the best, most relaxing soaking tubs ever!

There was a $55 dllr mandatory overnight valet parking fee which was not advised for when booking the hotel. The $35 dllr resort that was mentioned does not include water or coffee like stated.
