Stylish to a point…..

Stylish it was but that’s where it ended. There was grit on floors and cabinets, a nearly empty liquor bottle on a shelf, and very uncomfortable furniture with a bed frame being held together with a zip-tie. The grill was shared and I wouldn’t use it given its condition, the stairs were uneven and the railings were rusty and peeling paint was a concern for cuts. The location was wonderful and the most positive thing about this property.

GR8 location and very clean. Recommend!

The property is located in a very nice updated mature neighborhood. Reminds me of the beautiful homes and trees in the Heights in Houston. I enjoyed walking through the neighborhood and to Congress where there is plenty to see and do. Short walk really. The property is older but well kept. The unit was extremely clean.

Sweet Spot in Austin

Great spot for my wife and I on our first visit to Austin! Quiet, comfortable, neighborhood location close to downtown, Barton Springs, restaurants, shopping, and more. Communication with Vacasa local management team was very good!

Location is great. Unit was not ready at 10pm on checkin day

The location of the unit is very good and it has all the basics necessities. However, the unit had not been cleaned when we arrived at 10 pm on check in day. There were used wet towels everywhere, slept in bed, unemptied trash in the bath and kitchen, dirty dishes, used tissues on the floor, etc. I contacted Vacasa and sent photos of the unit. Eventually we got a call from the local manager. We asked to have it cleaned. He said that wasn’t possible and said he’d relocate us, but could not say where or how long that would take. It was 10:30 at night and we did not want to wait an unknown amount of time to get moved to a place that we hadn’t chosen and did not know anything about. We made the bed ourselves using clean linens that were in the closet and cleaned up the unit as much as we could so we could get some sleep. We said weren't comfortable with having cleaning staff in when we were not there - the manager was insulting and rude and said we couldn’t decline the cleaning. The next morning left for the day and returned to a clean unit that had no towels in it. We called the manager and were told that the towels would be delivered shortly. We waited, wanting to take showers before we went to dinner, but at 6pm there were still no towels. So we were not able to shower before dinner. After phone calls and emails to Vacasa we have gotten a partial refund. But it really isn't enough to make up for the bad service. All in all a frustrating, bad experience.

Great place close to downtown

Stayed for a work event. Space was clean and easily accessible. A 30ish min walk from downtown or quick Uber/scooter. Didn't have much communication with property manager as it wasn't necessary since it was easy enough to manage on your own.

Nice place, good location, free parking

This location was great. It’s an apartment on the 3rd floor (stairs only), which has a small but well-appointed kitchen, tons of extra supplies, and super cute decor. We could hear our neighbors occasionally but it was mostly quiet. Very close to shops and restaurants on South Congress. Free parking, rare in Austin. Only “negative” is that the bedroom does not have blackout curtains so the light/sun woke us up every morning. That is a very minor thing though and we would definitely stay here again.

Quiet & Quaint just off Congress Ave

Close to great bars. The only downside is no laundry facilities onsite or anywhere close. So if your like me and dont have a car its a pain to get washing done.

Close to Congress

The Interior was very nice...mid-century modern with remodeled kitchen, KS bed and decent bathroom. The exterior is a challenge as difficult wak up 3 flights of 'leaning' stairs and not the most appealing courtyard. Still, I would stay there again in an instant. Great location.

Nightmare stay

This place was an absolute nightmare. I will never, ever book Vacasa ever again. This place was listed a block off of South Congress and it is actually closer to a mile away. It is not walking distance and is purposely misleading. The outside of the condo is dilapidated, there were people partying until 1am in the pool, dogs barking which you can hear and will keep you up. When we arrived to check in, the fire alarm and the carbon monoxide detector were beeping to indicate dead batteries to which I called both Vacasa and VRBO. I was told by Vacasa the local property owner would not refund us to find a safe place to stay. Carbon monoxide poisoning while traveling is a very real risk and fire detectors are required by fire code. Neither the property owner or Vacasa cared. They did not call back, they did not come fix the equipment, no one followed up to the text inquired, no one reached out. I had to go buy travel detectors to ensure I didn’t die by fire or in my sleep because they wouldn’t give my money back to find an acceptable place to stay. DO NOT BOOK THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I HAVE NEVER HAD ISSUES GETTING SAFETY CONCERNS ADDRESSED WITH OTHER COMPANIES. Huge mistake. Awful customer service. Save yourself the trouble. I spent 3 hours on the phone with no solution to address the fire detector or carbon monoxide detectors.

Clean pleasant space near South Congress

This was great place to stay in the walkable SoCo area. The outside of the complex is a not fancy but the interior of the apartment is pleasant and well kept. There is a pool and beach towels available while you stay. I would stay again!

Nice Apt in South Congress

It really was good...location, great view of downtown, walkable, etc. The bed could use updating, the tv didn't have netflix/etc., and there were quite a lot of flies but overall, it was exactly what is advertised.

Great stay in downtown Austin

Would have been 5 stars but we received the wrong code to the box and could not contact the management. Thankfully after several attempts we randomly hit the right combo and got the key. The location could not be better. The apartment was clean and everything we needed was available.

Cool location for SoCo stay!

I stayed here with my husband and our 10month old baby. The check in process was a tad stressful because the lockbox did not work at first however I called the customer service number and they were able to provide me with a new working code within minutes. This spot is perfect for a couple or small group of friends that won’t be spending a lot of time in the apartment but personally this is not the spot for a family with a young baby. It’s on the third floor and we had multiple suitcases and all the baby gear. Not fun! But the view of the downtown skyline was super cool up there and there’s a nice big shared patio. The space was clean and had the base necessities + some fun stuff for the summer / exploring (lawn chairs pool noddles etc). Super close to downtown and exploring SoCo. Worst part was that the bed is extremely squeaky. And the pillows aren’t the greatest. We personally wouldn’t stay here again but I’m also “extra” as my husband likes to say lol. Definitely a great spot for folks without kids looking to enjoy Austin!!! Price was great.
