The fabulous 4 bedroom house on private creek, Quiet and Relaxing in springtime with bluebonnets and wildflowers. Great family room with wrap-around porch with many seating areas, outdoor fire pit with large kitchen with gas stove top; outdoor gas grill available. It's a 3,000 square foot custom home on 2.0 acres on a bluff overlooking a beautiful cypress tree lined clear creek. This creek is spring fed and refreshingly cold! Guest use the crystal clear creek fed swimming hole to swim. It is refreshingly cold just in front of house. Sit on the wrap-around porch and listen to the waterfalls that borders our property and enjoy the nature setting. Find your peace, relax and get away from it all with your family and friends.
It is secluded from the city for peace and quiet, yet this beautiful home is still close to shopping, vineyards, water sports, golf and great local restaurants. The Spicewood Creek House is all about relaxing, whether it is on the deep wrap around porch or in the hammock, or swimming* in the sparkling water below in the deep creek fed swimming hole, there is something for everyone. (*please note: seasonally the water in the creek can be lower if it is a drier time of year. We cannot predict this.)

Join us for the 17th time we have thrown one of the funnest parties of the year, our Pair It With The Claret Chili Cook Off.
This year we have made some changes and have increased the footprint of the chili contestant area. We will have over 20 different chili teams passing out chili until it runs out, as well as a few food trucks to cover all level of appetites.
The bands will rock, the chili will roll, and the wine will flow. Come out, bring your buds, and let's kick up our damn heels y'all!
A $25 ticket includes a commemorative glass you get to keep as well as one glass of wine we will put in said glass.
Our home is perfect to view the phenomenon of a Full Moon arises when our planet, Earth, is precisely sandwiched between the Sun and the Moon. This alignment ensures the entire side of the Moon that faces us gleams under sunlight.
Lunar Sightseeing with binoculars, the Moon’s smooth gray and white surface transforms into detailed craters and mountain ridges. For the best view, use binoculars with at least 7x magnification, though 10x or 15x will reveal more detail—just keep a tripod handy for stability.

There are horseshoes to play, badminton and volleyball, as well as darts and ping pong and skittles, a fast paced game of pins and tops. Our guests are welcome to fish(catch and release only) in the deep pool in front of house only, not in the creek on either the right or left side of the deep pool.
There is a rock patio above that has a table set for those who wish to picnic outdoors and a hammock hanging from a tree that calls for a good book to read.
This newly furnished Texas House with handsome wide planked hardwood flooring is equipped to handle up to 8 people with four bedrooms and three full baths. We cannot allow additional guest to come on property. This home is not designed for larger groups or parties of more than 8 people day or night.
All of the mattresses are brand-new pillow tops. Two of the spacious bedrooms are upstairs with a full bath. There is a queen in one bedroom with a huge chest of drawers and a rocker. The other room has two twins and a daybed to sleep three.
There is also a loft area with a sofa and flat screen Smart TV. Downstairs are two more queen bedrooms that each have their own bath. The master also has a separate Jetted Tub with Double Sinks and a Shower. There is a flat screen TV in the large master bedroom as well as a recliner and a large chest of drawers.
The great room has soaring two-story ceilings with beams and a fireplace, ample reclining consoles and sofas. A large flat screen Smart TV is next to the fireplace, with lots of games and puzzles for a rainy day! There are two tables in the dining area that will seat up to ten people.
The kitchen is updated with all stainless appliances and granite countertops. It also has a breakfast bar, a pantry room and beyond that, the utility room with new washer/dryer for your use. We have supplied the kitchen generously with dishes, cookery, small high-end new appliances for your needs.
On the porches are rockers on the front of the house and teak sofas and a table that seats six with fabulous views of the bluff below. There are adirondack chairs close to the bluff with amazing views of the water, as well. You can also make arrangements for porchside massage therapy with mobile therapists from the Austin area. There are so many places and ways to relax. Your hardest decision will be where and what!
Things to do in the area:
Located in the Texas Hill Country which is the home of favorite and country music legend Willie Nelson. Spicewood has a charm all its own. Fantastic barbecue, rolling hills, fabulous vineyards, and incredible views make this day trip really memorable. You’ll feel miles away from the city while still satisfying that need for novelty.
Milton Reimers Ranch Park is close by and has Mountain Climbing, Hiking and Mountain Biking Trails. Swim in the Pedernales River! The hike from the parking lot to the river is approximately 0.25 miles down a steep grade.
You can also explore the Texas Skies at the Reimers Observatory is an astronomical observatory located inside Reimers Ranch Park. Reservations for observatory programs are required to be in the park after dark. The road to the Beach. Keep in mind that you will need to be prepared to pay your entry fee by cash, no credit cards are accepted.
Muleshoe Bend Recreation Area -Enjoy Rolling fields of bluebonnets pop up in the spring, an awesome sight to behold. During the 'non-wildflower season', come here to hike the trails, enjoy the green fields, and dip your toes in the water.
Krause Springs is definitely a top five natural water destination in the area. There are jump off points, a rope swing, waterfalls, and a hidden grotto spread among the 32 springs and the man made natural pool. Plan to spend the day here hiking around or sunbathing on the giant rocks.
Cypress Valley Canopy Tour, five ziplines that take you through a wild ride from platform to platform. After your tour, you can take a dip in their small private lake and have a picnic.
Don’t forget go to Spicewood without stopping into Poodie’s Hilltop Bar & Grill. This legendary venue is the watering hole for all kinds of famous Texans, likely because the original owner, Poodie Locke, was Willie Nelson’s stage manager.
Willie Nelson’s Pedernales Cut-N-Putt is exactly the opposite of that country club scene. It’s golf, the Willie Way and that means fun.
Iron Wolf Ranch and Distillery is a family-owned and family friendly with games and a playground for kiddos spread out on 15 acres of land, with entertainment every Saturday.
Spicewood Vineyards. Family-owned, the vineyards are gorgeous and their tasting space feels like you’re hanging out in a friend’s home. On the 'Friday Night Wine Down' on the 1st Friday of the month, and other casual gatherings that bring wine together with that Texas life.
