Welcome to our Travis Heights one-bedroom guesthouse. This thoughtfully curated, private space features a full kitchen, comfortable living area, home office, and private covered patio. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, this space is close to Lady Bird Lake, Hike and Bike Trails, SXSW, ACL fest, Moody Theater, downtown, and the South Congress district with the best restaurants and shopping in the city. This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit.

The Space:
Please note, all guests staying at a Portoro home are required to sign a rental agreement.

Welcome to Travis Heights! This quiet, historic neighborhood located just south of Town Lake provides visitors with a genuine South Austin experience.

Compact and curated for Austin visitors, The guest house features 1 bedroom with a king bed, a vanity bathroom, and a walk-in shower. The colorful kitchen comes complete with everything you need to prepare meals and entertain for two. Guests can lounge on the cozy living room sofa (which converts to a pull-out sleeper sofa) with accompanying leather ottomans, or on the covered patio. The house also has a desk for folks needing to work remotely.

Coffee and essentials are complimentary. Our bath and body products are made by Public Goods and our linens are high thread count, 100% cotton.

Off-street parking is reserved for 1 vehicle.

NOTE: We follow the CDC and Airbnb Recommended Cleaning Guidelines. You can rest assured this property has been completely sanitized prior to check-in.

Travis Heights is the mecca of 78704. It's where the "Keep it Weird" proclamation came from. It's close to South Congress (the best shopping, restaurants, and live music in Austin). You will be in the center of everything, yet in a quiet setting. It's a perfect Austin experience.

The driveway is shared with the homeowners so please be respectful and only use the dedicated parking space for guests. Parking enough for 1 car in the driveway, and curbside parking in front of the house.

This is a quiet neighborhood.

HOTEL TAX COLLECTION: Both the City of Austin and the State of Texas require all hotel and vacation rental hosts to collect hotel tax. We collect these two taxes within the booking transaction. The state requires 6% and the city requires 11%.

Great property, wonderful location. Walking distance to many great restaurants and shopping and bat bridge. Short ride to other Austin features. Never been to Austin before, but now I understand the importance of having a place with parking! One smaill suggestion, you could add a hairdryer.

Perfect stay in Austin!
My best friend and I stayed here while on a girls’ trip to Austin. The neighborhood is beautiful and allows for easy access to South Congress and downtown. The property had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. Communication with the owner was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again!

This was a really comfy spot! The location was convenient to my convention downtown yet removed enough to feel peaceful. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was great. Easy check in and check out and I felt safe traveling as a woman by myself.

Tough choosing a place to stay with all the different options out there. Found this place and decided to give it a shot. Was everything as described. Very clean, had everything we needed.
