Last Minute Cancellation Almost Ruined Vacation
We had booked this place 9 months before our family went down to see the solar eclipse. We got a confirmation from the host when we booked. We heard nothing from the host a week prior to our vacation. I emailed and got no response. My husband, and two kids traveled down to Texas from Minnesota, and was finally able to get a hold of the host the day before we were checking in. She said that she would get the check-in procedures sent to me the next morning. The next morning I received nothing. Around 2:00 (check-in was at 4:00) I got a message on the VRBO app from our host saying she could no longer accommodate our reservation. So now I had my family with two children at a park in Texas not knowing where we going to spend the next few days during Eclipse Weekend. I called the VRBO support and they were AMAZING! They were able to find a hotel that had similar amenities. It was a process and did put a damper on the trip. We also had to do some work on our end to get some of our trip reimbursed because the cost of the new location was much higher than our original site. Thank you to VRBO, but very disappointed in this host's lack of communication and cancellation. Sidenote: The solar eclipse was AWESOME!

Weekend Getaway
My wife and I found the property well-manicured and peaceful. Travel to and from the events during our visit was smooth. However, it was disappointing that the water level in the lake was so low. Also, driving at night was challenging in the curved areas because I was cautious, and others were riding my bumper. If you are not perficient in driving the Hills this is not for the enexperence driver. (makes you not want to go to visit)

Convenient
The directions to the property & the process to get to your room was great. The manager or whoever was on the phone was exceptionally helpful. The was nice & quite. However there was someone upstairs who kept on wondering around in his room that woke my sister up a couple of times. Maybe next time we take the top floor. We did come in the middle of the week & the restaurant was closed. That was unfortunate. Nevertheless I will be back!
