Although the AT&T Hotel & Conference Center was a nice hotel to stay at, the construction that was taking place across the street was horrible. Our room was located right across from the construction site. The noise of the jackhammer woke me up at 7:30 each morning. This was definitely something that I didn’t want on my mini vacation. The noise was so loud that I had to turn the TV up to try and drown out the noise from the construction site. When I called the front desk and expressed my concern about the noise, the receptionist seemed uninterested in my concern. Although she did offer to move me to another room, she could not guarantee that the noise would be reduced. This was very disheartening because the nightly rate, that I paid, and my expectations didn’t match the reality that I faced when I got to the hotel. I will say this, the valet service was phenomenal! The team was prompt in retrieving my car as well as greeting me when I first arrived.

The construction was so loud we couldn’t sleep in. The noise woke us up out of our sleep around 8am while on vacation, and it lasted ALL day.. we left the hotel to get breakfast since we couldn’t sleep and to try and get away but when we came back it was still going on. We couldn’t even take a mid day nap or watch tv it was so loud. I didn’t like that we were not told that there would be construction so we could have the option to book somewhere else. The loud noise is just not something you want to deal with on vacation.. when I called the front desk the lady wasn’t concerned at all.. she said she could MAYBE move us but it would be 2 or 3 hrs is the reason we decided to get up and find somewhere to go. Just unacceptable because that was NOT a cheap hotel. They definitely should have refunded us for at least one of our nights stay.
