This hotel in general is fine, the only issue is the very tired / damaged furniture (with the exception of the bed) in the room, which have it a very low effort vibe. Room was clean & was a great place to put one’s head down for the price, but nothing extra / special about the place.

It was a lovely stay, I was thankful to actually get a car park on the premises but if I hadnt then that would of been a hassel that I didnt want on my stay away.

Cheap but you get what you pay for. Rooms not sound proof. Definitely an older motel. Did have to ask for a extra towel (booked for 3 and only 2 towels). Did the job of giving us a bed for 2 nights, rooom appeared clean but don't move anything.

Received mail saying NZD50 as security deposit but have to pay NZD150!!! Poor quality of hygiene, washrooms are mouldy, dirty sheets and uncleaned rooms Had changed the room on the next day itself but given a more worse room, literally saying if you shower room will be flooding. As we dont want to spoil our long weekend managed to stay all through the booking. Thankyou for housekeeping to provide extra towel to prevent flooding. Even exhaust is working at all.

The staff were very friendly and didn't mind answering questions or helping where needed. The location was convenient for what we wanted. Unfortunately it looked like our room hadn't been cleaned for a while- could see grubby fingerprints everywhere, the table and bedside tables hadn't been wiped down and were sticky from spillages, etc.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. However the bathroom door handle was hanging off, the sink had a huge crack in it and the toilet seat was very loose, I definitely would not stay here again and expected more from such a reputable hotel chain such as The Copthorn

Beds and pillows were comfy. Great TV with youtube. Ran out of body wash provided and we were there only 1 night. Bathroom sliding door was heavy and not smooth, made a lot of noise when trying to open and close it. Otherwise it was nice enough for a place to rest for a night.
