I was told as soon as I got there that the wing where I was supposed to stay at, was closed due to maintenance and that we would have to stay somewhere else and get a refund. I was not given any information prior to arrival. No email to let me know or message or even a call. I was told when I got there, I was offered a refund. It has been three months and I have yet to receive that refund either. I I have been given the runaround by both the hotel and Expedia not sure who service is worse

This is my personal experience September 3-5 2024. Atlantic City has changed drastically as a whole. I booked a room in the Tropicana For a double bed ocean view. First thing I noticed, the room was very dusty and smelled musty. I’m allergic to dust. And my ocean view, that I requested, was actually a side view. I called and the young lady that answered, probably working from home, told me that there is no such thing as a front ocean view room. So, I went back downstairs To the front desk and complained, they upgraded my room, for a fee of course to a front ocean view which I was told didn’t exist. By the way, both rooms were in the south tower. Got to the new room, full ocean view and noticed that I still had to look through a dirty window which really obstructed my view and the room was very dusty. I decided to stay and wipe down the room. The next day is when I found out that their wasn’t any house cleaning available at alI. I wasn’t aware. They brought me up what I needed and I stayed. So at check out I noticed a young lady that looked very upset. While I was in line, she came to me and said she was upset because, she is in the north tower, and there are bed bugs in her room. I thought my issue was bad, but her’s was horrible! To sum this up,I hated the rooms and I didn’t like the casino. Everyone was complaining about no winnings (at least the people I met). That’s it in a nutshell as they say. I am so disappointed in the Tropicana Hotel.
