Great location round the corner from a Metro station with direct access to main sites. free parking immediately outside reception who can see vehicles from front desk. exceptionally helpful Siberian check in clerk who gave me incredibly helpful info on visiting historic sites, told me about the roof top bar with direct view of acropolis and fair prices. Nice big room with efficient AC and comfy bed. not noisy despite a lot of youngsters in residence whilst I was there. Comprehensive breakfast topped up as items used. lovely old fashioned elevator which still works well. Thoroughly recommended

apollo god of light

before booking this hotel , i red the reviews which were satisfactory, after my living experience for some days i found it a simple hotel for young tourists or people with very low demands. Old furniture , wireless not working, army breakfast, maybe i demand much for my money... but not of my taste. sorry , kind the man in reception i have to admit it.

what happened?

Been there before, was good last visit now, hopeless, wife bitten in 15 - 20 different places, and not by mosquitoes, will not be returning ever. Staff at reception helpful but rooftop bar was a joke, staff turned up when it suited them and not at designated time for opening, very sloppy and lost a good deal of trade since there were several people waiting to use the rooftop amenities, well, they went elsewhere so did we. Would not reccomend this hotel.

Affordable, decent and a nice stay!

For the price, the hotel is great - the staff are so lovely and always happy to help, really close to the metro station and the "Hop On, Hop Off" bus station. Only complaints, is that rooms arent sound proof so you can hear a lot of noise at night and although breakfast is good, gets quite boring as its the same thing every morning. Also, not a lot of decent restaurant/food places in the area, but the rooftop bar is really nice.

Great location - only a few minutes away from the main sites. Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Good breakfast. Handy convenience shop nearby. Highly reccommended!

Fantastic value!

The good: probably the best value for money that I've come across. The not so good: the wifi was very unreliable, phone in room didn't work, breakfast room was so crowded that there were no tables left.

Perfect Stay

The hotel was clean and warm, the breakfast was perfect. But the staff were really really helpful, from the top right down, they made me feel so welcome. I would definately go back again and wouldnt consider staying anywhere else. Excellent location, right near the metro and markets and fantastic value for money.

Good budget hotel!

This is a good place to stay if you are travelling on a budget. The hotel is very close to the metro and is within walking distance to the sights. The room was clean and there was a computer in the lobby with internet (which they didn't charge). You get a simple breakfast in the morning. What more do you need if you are looking for a budget hotel? True, the room was basic and I think the statement "superior 3* hotel" in the description is rather tongue in cheek. The area it is in was grim and a little seedy. I was disappointed with this at first but then I realised that much of Athens was like that. There is a 5* hotel very near by and so they are apparently not so worried by the area. For the price paid, I think it was good value!
