Location, Location, Location!!
If you're going to Rainier, this is a fantastic place to stay. There's plenty of room for a large group. For us, it had that arriving to summer camp vibe. This is by no means a negative review. Just some notes for future travelers. No A/C, so the air was a little stale when we arrived, but cleared up after a little bit. As noted in other reviews, the water does have a smell. We didn't find it offensive. The grill didn't have a gas cylinder, but I didn't go ask for it. We used the stove top grill. Overall, we had a nice time. The only negatives (more of concerns) are floors and the stairs. The stairs are very steep. I personally felt better descending them like a ladder. Some of the floors pitch, giving a funhouse type feeling. Nothing too serious, but I feel people should know.

Perfect location!
We loved our stay at Mt. Rainier lodge. The host was wonderful. There is plenty of space for a large family and everything was very clean. We were just outside of the park entrance so the location was perfect! Our cabin had plenty of linens and nice sheets which is always important to me. Some reviews mentioned the smell of the water, but it smelled completely fine to me. I didn’t notice an odor at all. I would definitely stay here again!

Cabin in the Woods!
Our group (8 adults) really enjoyed our time up on the mountain. The location to the national park was awesome and we enjoyed the views, easiness of checking in, price, and location. However, I do wish we had a bit of a cleaner stay. With a group of 8, that meant two people slept on the pullout couches downstairs. Couches themselves were clean, as far as we could tell, but the mattresses seriously needed an upgrade. They both were dirty and probably 3 inches thick. Additionally, the water all across the property reeked of rotten eggs. We were advised that the mineral count in the water leads to a strange smell, but we had NO idea it would be so bad. Showers were not the best time of day for sure. And since you wash your own dishes it made that not too pleasant either. Other than that, I wish we had been given a little more firewood for a 3 night stay, but we had a nice time. The cabin was safe and secure and the host checked in with us when we arrived. A nice place to stay when you do not want to pay lodge fees! Very nice views and lots to do around the mountain.

5 STARS
This place was absolutely amazing. The location was perfect, just minutes from Nisqually entrance into Mount rainier NP - perfect for doing hikes such as comet falls, panorama point /skyline loop trail, Narada falls, myrtle falls, carter falls & madcap falls, Christine falls. Not to mention if there is a line into the park, you basically skip the line. Now the place itself, the photos don’t do it justice. The place exceeded our expectations. A kitchen with everything you need, maybe just add some pizza pans as a suggestion, but other than that everything was there that you needed - a washer and dryer, 3 private bedrooms, 2 pull out couches downstairs, 2 clean full bathrooms, and a fire place in the living room. It was Just missing an iron and an iron board if that’s something you need. The owner was very personable and was quick to respond. He was very extremely pleasant and so was one of the managers at the office. They were all so accommodating and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. We were so thankful for them because we know that things can happen. Overall, a homey place and a wonderful experience. We would love to stay here again in the future and we will continue to recommend this place!

We enjoyed our "nature time" in this log cabin. It was clean and spacious for our family of six. The fireplace was warm and cozy. A family of deer paid a morning visit to our front porch. The contact person is prompt in responding and very helpful! We would recommend.

Such a cute cabin!
The cabin was much bigger than we expected. Had a nice cozy charm. Definitely need to have a fire going to stay warm! Loved seeing the wildlife right out the back door. We look forward to coming back again!
