We stayed during hurricane helene. Hotel lost power as well as every place around. Staff was accommodating and did the best they could. Room and hotel were clean and bed was comfortable. Given the situation we were glad to have a safe place to stay.

Location was fine; immediately adjacent to a Cracker Barrel. The room was clean. The HVAC system was odd and didn’t allow for a fan only setting, so either you froze to keep air movement, or dealt with no breeze. Breakfast offerings were poorly lacking. They were nice enough to allow us an extended checkout but at $50 for two additional hours.

The room was very clean as was the rest of the property. We were comfortable and it was a quiet at night. We forgot to bring our pillows and really regretted it. Terrible pillows! Expect a typical breakfast and eat early or else the eggs and sausage aren’t the freshest. Waffles were great though!

The hotel was clean and a distant price. But I don't think we will stay there again. The room always felt damp no matter what we tried, the breakfast was cold every morning with the exception of the waffles. But the worst thing was that the bathroom always smelled of cigarette smoke! I feel that this is a common problem that they have, as at night when we where coming back (we tried to stay out of the room as much as possible) or when taking the dogs outside we could small someone smoking. Nether my wife or myself smoke and the staff was polite when we brought this to them. Overall 3 stars based on the fact that it was clean and the staff was nice.
