Charming, Early 1900's Cottage, Newly Renovated, Hot Tub, Fire Pit

This beautiful and charming cottage sits at the foot of 16 acres and is quintessential to everything Asheville and the surrounding area have to offer. The cottage is close to everything, yet gives the feel of being away from it all. Built in the early 1900's, this house maintains it's history along with modern upgrades. The back of the house over looks a pasture with cattle, where you can find deer grazing and turkey's passing by early in the mornings and evenings. To the left of the house is a pond that is stocked with fish that we do allow fishing on, however it is catch and release only and we do not supply fishing equipment.

This newly renovated cottage comes fully furnished with two bedrooms equipped with two queen beds, a blow up queen bed, an electric Duraflame fireplace in every room, an electric Duraflame log fireplace, dining room, and a 30" HD TV with Direct TV in the living room. The kitchen is brand new and is supplied with all new appliances, granite counter tops, and your everyday basic kitchen needs. There is no central heat and air, however, we have supplied enough heaters and A/C units in the home to more than adequately keep the house, and each room, warm, cool, and comfortable. Outside you will find a brand new 5 person hot tub that overlooks the pasture and pond, a fire pit, and a gas grill.

I supply a starter brick of coffee, an assortment of teas, some mini moo creamers, and a variety of sugar packets to get you through your first morning, in case you can't get to the store right away. There are also complementary toiletries at your disposal, should you forget something. The grill is a gas grill that has a mini propane tank on it.

What makes this house unique, is it's central location to Asheville and the surrounding area, and everything it has to offer. Travel just 3 minutes to Biltmore Park to tour the shops, eat dinner, and enjoy a movie. Go shopping at the Asheville Outlets that are just 10 minutes away or tour downtown Asheville just 16 minutes away. Enjoy a hike, bike ride, tubing, or go kayaking just 8 minutes down the road, or better yet, treat yourself to a natural hot spring hot tub soak in Hot Springs, NC, just 54 minutes away. Charming older home was a perfect fit
My wife and I stayed in this home on our trip to visit the Biltmore Estate. It was convenient to everything we needed and private enough to feel like home. The hot tub overlooking the cattle pasture was a welcoming retreat

Best weekend getaway!
My boyfriend & I stayed here with our friends (another couple) and it was perfect. It was a great space for the 4 of us to relax & the perfect room for us to all have our privacy. The house was super convenient to all of the spots we wanted to go to: local hiking trails, downtown Asheville, the Biltmore, and more! The hot tub & fire pit were a nice addition to cap off our days exploring. And it NEVER got old to look out & watch the cows in the field behind the house. I would absolutely recommend this cottage (that looks straight out of the movie The Holiday) to a couple looking for a getaway, a small girls trip, a little family vacation or - like us - two couples looking for something nearby lots of restaurants & activities. Check in & check out could not have gone any smoother & the host has everything you could need in the house, along with a welcome book with any other info you might need on the house or area. Book now!

Fun weekend with college friend
We chose this property for the charm, location, and reasonable rate. It was easy to access the Blue Ridge Parkway and get to Biltmore and Asheville. The cottage is adorable with lots of original architectural features and it is nestled in a wooded/pasture area. Really terrific. It was fun imagining who built it and used it historically. We enjoyed reading the guest book. The hot tub was nice but a little too chlorinated for our liking. The cottage was clean and you can find it on Google Maps easily. We would recommend staying here and have already shared the listing with friends from Knoxville. If we could offer some suggestions: -it would be nice if the front porch were repaired and a nice chair or swing and read. -more flashlights. As the host knows, a storm knocked out the power for a bit and there was only 1 flashlight that we found.

Wonderful stone cottage
Listing details are accurate. Spacious and clean. Beds were good and soft. Well equipped kitchen. Hot tub was easy to use - could use a couple of extra degrees. Electric heaters worked well and were all that was needed. Rural location but close to amenities. We had deer in the yard when we drove in, many birds, cows in the field. This is an older property but a unique and enjoyable one- exactly what we were looking for.

Quiet place not far off the beated path!
Check in was easy. Greeted to a clean and well kept house. You can tell effort has gone into updating this place to the current times as it's an older constructed home. Large foyer and equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds but bedrooms could fit larger sized mattresses. Good water pressure. Hot tub is sized good and decent quality even equipped with cover lifter. Someone previously has decided to put soap in the hot tub, so when you turn on the jets you get a sudsy experience. Some spider webs were found in the interior rock walls at back entrance door. Lots of channels on tv in living room but could be a tad larger in screen size. Remotes for tv and fan/heaters were found to be kind of sticky to touch. Parking spaces on the property is plentiful, with mixtures of grass and gravel. Although it is important to note that I would NOT recommend anyone to bring a low ground clearance vehicle as the driveway/pavement leading up to the home is full of large ruts and deep potholes. Overall this one night stay was good.

Delightful stay!!
I absolutely loved this property. My husband & I were supposed to vacation together but he ended up with a work conflict & I made it into a mini vacay for myself. What a fantastic spot for that!!! Everything was as advertised & it was so comfortable and relaxing. What a fantastic spot…close to anything you would need & near enough to downtown Asheville. My only issue was the bed in the bedroom with the bathroom attached was very soft & uncomfortable. I ended up sleeping in the other room which was a bit better. I know some people enjoy a soft bed but I felt this was a bit too soft. Otherwise, property was fantastic & we would definitely return! Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

Nice place
This property is beautiful. It is a very old house but super cool. The only thing that we regretted was not seeing the floor fans sooner. It was a little warm for our taste at night so remembering the fans would have been awesome. There was not a clear path to the pond. I guess it was grown up. The hot tub was amazing and the views were great.

Great location & good value
If you love a rural location close to shops and trails, this is the place. Loved seeing the cows in back, enjoying the hot tub under the starts with complete privacy. Beautiful interior set up. Be aware that there is no dishwasher, also there is a rather unfriendly note about the hot tub usage and it turned out it was so over chlorinated we could not use it for the first two days. The house manager did her best and was super communicative.

Great secluded get away
The place was great. The hot tub was just what we needed. They even provided us with a bundle of wood and first little bit of coffee. There are portable heaters there as the place actually has no heat. This time of the year we were able to keep it just warm enough in there with all the heaters going. And the master bed was pretty beat up. I have contacted the host and i bet she will get a brand new in there before the next guests. But def for a quiet retreat this is a for sure! Uber was $20-$30 into downtown Asheville where you can have all the beers and foods you want!!!!

We had a wonderful stay! This cottage was close to everything we wanted to visit, but still felt really remote and relaxing. The house was well stocked, clean, and had internet strong enough for a day of working. Even though it uses space heaters, it felt perfectly cozy and warm for our winter visit. We will definitely keep this place on our list!

Beautiful n charming.
Absolutely beautiful and clean house. Wish I knew it was on the edge of a subdivision, as I booked looking for seclusion and privacy. The temp on the hot tub would not go higher then 97, wood for the fire pit would have been perfect for the cool evenings.
