Oyster Cottage is a traditional fisherman's cottage set over three levels. Updated to offer a unique and modern home whilst retaining its character, creative use of space has allowed the quirks of the cottage to become some of its best features. The perfect romantic retreat for two and just steps from the sea, Oyster Cottage is a super choice for a couple looking for rest and relaxation in a quiet coastal village where long walks, good food and fresh air are in abundance.
Located at the foot of the hill which leads to the harbour, Oyster Cottage is in a great location with Fife Coastal path on the doorstep. On entry level there is an open plan living space with recliner armchairs, netflix TV, bijou but well equipped kitchen and breakfasting style dining area. Lots of coastal touches and inspiration for a relaxing break create a lovely atmosphere. The double bedroom with dressing table and plenty of storage is found on the first floor, along with the modern shower room with rainfall shower. A further set of stairs leads to the additional living space, which is equally well used as a space for catching up on some work, relaxing with a book or chilling with a glass of fizz- making use of the wine fridge and accessories on this level so that you have everything on hand.
The East Neuk is a popular destination for visitors from near and far. With a laid back pace of life, fantastic foodie scene and miles of unspoilt coastal path there's something for everyone. Oyster Cottage is next door to a fab bistro cafe where you can grab your morning coffee and fresh cinnamon swirl and head to the benches at the harbour to enjoy them. The East Pier Smokehouse is just round the corner for some fresh seafood, and there are plenty other dining options in the neighbouring villages too.
St Andrews is 20 minute drive, Edinburgh 1 hour. Fife has a great range of golf courses with many in and near the East Neuk and there is plenty of sights to see if you enjoy history and culture too.
