Carpenter’s Cottage is a deceptively spacious traditional cottage, lovingly updated to provide a charming home from home. Originally home to the owners’ grandparents, the cottage is full of happy memories of holidays gone by and is now ready to welcome new guests looking to make their own special memories.
Set up a quiet lane in Pittenweem Carpenter’s Cottage is a single level property. The first space you will come into is the kitchen which has bespoke units originally made by the owners’ carpenter Grandfather and now also houses all the equipment required for a self-catering stay. Further in through the hallway is the modern shower room. From here a step leads up to the sizable lounge which has a retro style combined with tasteful coastal touches. Comfortable seating is arranged to create a cosy space and leaves plenty of space for the separate dining area. The double bedroom is fresh and relaxing and has a lovely outlook over the garden. The sunroom is located off the lounge and is another lovely spot to sit and enjoy your morning coffee with the sun streaming in or to sit with a book. Access to the garden is via the sunroom or the kitchen. With a patio area, well established flower beds and a large lawn area the private garden is a fantastic space to enjoy on a warm day. Parking is available on street at the bottom of the lane or alternatively there is a private parking space suitable for one small vehicle alongside the cottage.
Carpenter’s Cottage is a few minutes’ walk from the High Street of Pittenweem where you’ll find galleries, cafes and independent shops and a few minutes further downhill takes you to the working fishing harbour, tidal pool and seafood restaurant. The coastal path connects all the neighbouring East Neuk villages and is a great way to take in the beautiful views and perhaps even spot some dolphins. The East Neuk is popular with those looking for a relaxing break by the sea as well as those seeking a more active holiday too.
