"Where to begin, La Granja del Colca WHAT A PLACE!! We are touring Peru and found this place. We drove from Ica which was a 14hr drive, which meant that we arrived in the late hours of day, even though it was late Anita greeted us with an Andean herb hot tea. During our drive we unfortunately got sick, we ended up passing a poor night, the next morning we had the pleasure to meet Walter the owner of La Granja del Colca and he treated us like family, they served us with a special menu so our stomachs would recover he also gave us the history of this great place and how little by little they have expanded to what it is today a cozy paradise above the canyon. Mr. Walter also provided us information on a clinic in town and went above and beyond in offering us a room to stay at his hotel Kuntur Wassi Colca Hotel for a few hours after the doctor visit so that my girlfriend could rest. There I met his wife Caterina in which shewas more than accommodating and friendly. Then came Edgar the person overseeing La Granja, among some of the best treatment we have received, he also heard that we needed a medicine that was only available in a city about three hours from here. That night He calls me to tell me that he had arranged someone to bring us the medicine the next morning. Wow we ended staying an additional day to enjoy all the alpacas, some great Condor sightings and all from the confort of this paradise in the canyon. More than recommend!! "
