Hidden basic gem
This was basic - and I knew that. This was my first time here and so didn't know what to expect. I had room 25 - ensuite toilet that had a shower literally in it. Who cares because the water was HOT and housekeeping changed your sheets every day. My room looked over the side alley with a good window that blocked sound. I don't know if my TV worked because I used my phone. There was a 24 HR front desk staff and the phone or code worked out no problem. I really like the area for coffeeshops and restaurants! I'll be back!

CS is almost all automated. There is a limited front desk, luckily, if you have data problems. Room is comfortable and I lucked out having one with a great view of the street. It’s not often you can see Amsterdam from the top floor of the oldest buildings rather than looking up. No elevator and the staircase is extremely small and steep, unfortunately.

Stayed at CS Hotel for 3 nights this week, if your looking for a place to stay right next to central station and just looking for a place to sleep then this is a good option. Very basic but clean rooms but perfect location!! Great staff and the stairs are not that bad to be honest. Thanks for having us guys!!

The location of the hotel was amazing, so close to the station and right in the city centre making everything very walkable. However for the price it is just not up to par. There is no option for a private toilet, we had to move rooms in the middle of the night due to the pipes making a lot of noise. We found out they knew about this issue and had already had engineers out but the problem wasn’t fixed. When we moved rooms it was actually a downgrade to a smaller room, and it didn’t have a shower in like the room we had before. 85 pounds a night is well over what is reasonable and 45-50 pounds seems more realistic for what you get.

Arrived late and stayed only for 1 night as it was last minute due to flight cancelled the night before. A little nosey but to be expected. Location was perfect and cheap for where it is based. Easy check in process. Would stay again but room with own toilet if staying for more than one night or arriving earlier. Shared toilet was never an issue though always available and clean on the 2 occassions it was used

The most positive thing about this hotel is the location, however with that said being next to the tram lines and busy areas it can be quite noisy. The windows are single glazed and walls are thin so you can hear everything. When I booked this hotel the advert wasn’t clear regarding shared bathrooms. They have since updated the photos recently which will prevent any confusion and there are a few rooms with private bathrooms at least! I personally wouldn’t stay here again just down to the rooms being very basic, the noise but if you want a budget stay based on location then this will be ideal.

The worst on my hotel stays
A very super small room with no air conditioning and also no bathroom inside the room. No elevator either. The worst experience I had. I just spent one out of the two nights I paid to stay.

This hotel had the best front desk staff! I loved the location and the room was great value for money especially given the location. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was also fantastic. I will stay here again! Important to note the stairs are almost vertical so pack light!!! Staff are very helpful with heavy suitcases but better to go light.

The only good thing about this place was the location and the room was cleanish. We were on the forth floor. No lift you gotta carry your bags. The room was tiny with literally nothing in it. There was only room on one side of the bed to walk. The walls were paper thin so the comings and goings of the guy next door were like a bomb going off. The shared shower had little more than a trickle. The price through Expedia was ok, but we had to stay an extra night and got stung 220 Euros to stay in our prison cell. I know prices are high in Amsterdam, but this was outrageous for what we got.

Stairs are dangerous Bathroom is worse than a prison no soap no toilet paper dirty so small it's impossible to use this was the deluxe room checked out after one night no compensation given give this dump a miss!
