The property is in an ideal location for access to the town pubs and restaurants in ambleside with free parking close by ,the property is well presented and clean throughout our room was spotless with tea and coffee making facilities, comfortable bed, and tasty varied breakfast we would return with no hesitation well done to the owners megan and john

The B&B was spotlessly clean. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful in recommending nearby walks and even upgrading our room on arrival. We will definitely stay here again when we revisit Ambleside

Great hosts. Well kept property. Beautiful location. Proximity to road means there is a bit of traffic noise but earplugs easily sorted that. Excellent breakfast options. Ask where to park BEFORE arriving as it isn't on the property itself :)

Fantastic bed and breakfast in a great location for everything in Ambleside. The owners and their lovely dog were super friendly and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived to the time we left to come home. The room we had was very comfortable, modern and suited us completely. The town centre is literally 2 minutes walk and the pier to take the boats up and down the lake are about 15 minute walk. If you plan to visit other towns such as Keswick or Kendal catch a bus, it’s £4 for a return to either place and compared to taking your car is a no brainer. We were provided with a free parking permit with the car park literally just around the corner which made a huge difference to our stay. We will go back to Ambleside and we will definitely stay here again. Oh did I say the breakfast food is amazing, cooked fresh to order and a great choice. Well done guys and thank you for looking after us, hopefully see you again next year.

Wow! A wonderful place to stay. Great food too.
Megan and John were the perfect hosts and very welcoming. The property is clean, the bed so comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. The most relaxing B&B we’ve stayed in and would highly recommend this to our family and friends.

Stayed for 2 nights as we were attending a wedding nearby. We were met by John, the owner, who was very helpful in suggesting raxi firms to use. We were allocated a a room on the top floor which was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and all freshly cooked. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Absolutely Lovely B&B
We were so happy to have stayed here! Lovely location, convenient to local shops, art gallery, and restaurants. Our room was brilliant: newly remodeled and super comfortable, spacious, and clean. Owners were very kind and helpful, also providing a delicious breakfast. A fantastic B&B, epitomizes the experience one should have in the Lake District. We'll certainly be back!

A lovely family run B&B
This is a lovely B&B and the owners John and Meg go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable and have everything you need. The room was nice and the breakfast was great. Parking is just around the corner in the public car park but you get a permit to park for free, which can actually be used for free parking in other towns too which is handy if you want to explore. The location is very convenient, just a couple of minutes walk from the shops and restaurants, and a short walk to Windermere.

Horrific for £100 a night
The hosts were fine, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good however the room was terrible. Advused once checked in it was the only room in the place that hadn't been refurbished and it was very obvious. The shower and toilet were literally in a cupboard, id sit on the touket and my feet were in the shower. Una le to turn around in shower litetally less than a metre in width. Room very basic, uncomfy bed, minimal everything for £100 a night. Spent the previous night up the road at ambleside central for £45 nighr. Family room, seperate bathroom, kingsize bed, single bed, great facilities. It was like goijg from a 4 star to a 1 star at the compston... Id stay again for location but only for hostel orice of 12 quid a night, not worth a penny more
