Lacking basic facilities maintenance.
I have stayed here a few times in the past. But the hotel has gone way down in the level of care of the facility in the last year. Obvious extended exhaust problems in the bathroom and not meeting ASHRAE 62.1 guidelines. This is obviously the root cause of the mildew and moisture issues. The bathroom floor was also sticky. Because there was no exhaust (minimal air changes), the room seemed heavily perfumed with possible carpet deodorizor to the point it was difficult to sleep. We left early

Only stayed one night, so shopping and sightseeing weren’t a consideration for us. Typical self serve breakfast included. Amenities in our room were very good especially in that price rage.

The hotel is under a renovation I guess so there are bixes stacked everywhere in the hotel. Our room was not clean, the bed were made but that is all I can say

Love it.
I love this place. They take good care of it but it's getting older and probably harder to do that. For the price, and the serv ice, it's still wonderful and my "when go-to" place in Amarillo.

This room is fine, especially for the price. The beds are pretty firm, which to me is a good thing, it has a nice size fridge, and was pretty clean overall. There wasn’t anything majorly wrong with the cleanliness, just that the bathtub looked a little “dingy” for lack of a better word, and it had a faint odor in the room that while is wasn’t revolting or a big enough deal to warrant wanting to change rooms or anything, but when first entering, or when re-entering the room after being out for a little while, you can definitely smell it. The best way I can describe it is just kind of “old” smelling like you would find in an old house. Another minor complaint is the lack of direct USB plugs with multiple outlets. All the power was a standard wall plug, and there were only a couple available. If your family have multiple devices you need to plug in, you may run out of outlets pretty quick. There was some renovations being done, which is obviously a good thing. The downside to this is some noise and equipment/supplies taking up space in the parking lot next to the side door. Definitely not a bad place to stay for the night if you’re going through Amarillo. The price is right and it’s super easy to get on/off the interstate.

Good Overnight Stay.
Stayed overnight at the Ashmore Inn on a longer road trip. Check in with quick and easy. The front desk clerk was very informative and friendly. The hotel is nice. Some of the interior is dated. However, it does have a certain charm from a bygone era. my wife and I enjoyed staying here.
