There is a gas station (bait and fishing supplies, convenience store items), 2 bars and a restaurant/coffee shop within a mile in the town of Elba. The Whitewater Wines Winery is 5.6 miles up the road.

Shared campground amenities:
Bathhouse with 2 private individual rooms, each with a hot shower, vanity and flush toilet.
Propane grill with side burner.
Community area (requires short hike) with tent shelters (2, each 10' x 20'), outdoor furniture, tables, chairs, propane grill w/ side burner, firepit w/ cooking grate/skillet.
Stargazing area with reclining chairs (requires short hike).

Wi-fi: Available at the cabin, data speeds up to 25 Mbps.

Parking: On site, 2 vehicle limit, no vehicles larger than a full-size truck, no trailers.
Host accessibility: Available 24/7/365 via phone and email/messaging, frequently on site.
Security: Campground community areas are under video surveillance.

Setting: Aefintyr campground is located in the hilly, wooded, blufflands of the Whitewater River Valley just north of the tiny town of Elba, MN. Views are primarily of the woods and valleys. The campground is off of a 2 lane county highway so there is some intermittent road noise. It is otherwise very peaceful and filled with the sounds of nature, including lots of birds and other wildlife.
Aefintyr is a peaceful place with chill vibes and we like to keep it that way! It is not a place for parties or rowdy groups. We like to listen to nature, not loud music or rowdy people blabbering into the night. Please see our rules/polices to know what to expect.

Excellent for an active family.
We loved this place! It is quaint, welcoming and in a very natural setting. While here we vosited Whitewater. We stayed in Cabin 3 but hiked up the hill to the tent sites which has an amazing view of the bluffs!

Quick Getaway at the Treehouse!
Stayed in one of the treehouse cabins with my friend and my dog for a couple of nights over the 4th of July and had a wonderful experience! Really felt like glamping, but with a little extra infrastructure! Chelsi was a very helpful and responsive host. The space was tidy and well taken care of and just as described. The beds and blankets were comfortable, the bathhouse was close by and very clean and modern. It was so peaceful and the area is gorgeous. We loved eating breakfast on the covered porch looking into the pines, and hiking up the bluff on the property to the stargazing field. Also you can't beat the location- it truly is just minutes from Elba and Whitewater State Park! The only thing I would do differently next time is pack a little lantern or lamp for a more low key/ non-overheard lighting option in the evening, but I'm only including this in case it's helpful for anyone else who finds themselves very particular about lighting at night haha. If it wasn't so wet we would have loved to enjoy the fire pits instead! I would absolutely book again, and am curious to try out their glamping sites up on the bluff- maybe in the fall!

Perfect getaway with family
We stayed for a weekend with two adults, one toddler, and a dog. The treehouse cabin was perfect for what we needed. It was clean, well-laid out, and easy to get to. We had rain most of the weekend so we didn't make any fires, but the porch was perfect to sit on and watch the rain. The bathrooms were better than expected - very clean, spacious, and the shower had hot water. The hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful when we needed them.
