It does offer one parking space in its under-croft garage, open plan living kitchen dining, two generously sized bedrooms, and a family bathroom. No 12 is the perfect little base for families looking for their next Northern adventure. When you’re ready to begin exploring this historic town, begin with a trip to the incredible and famous Alnwick Castle, one of the largest inhabited castles in the UK and used as ‘Hogwarts’ when filming scenes for the ‘Harry Potter’ films so it’s a must-visit for any fans.
The Alnwick Garden is also an exciting visit with its spectacular interpretation of a formal garden, including the Grand Cascade waterfall, poison garden and largest tree house in Europe where guests can dine in the restaurant. The town’s narrow streets have seen little change since the days when the London to Edinburgh stagecoach passed through and the Market Place, with its stone cross, is still the central feature and the ideal venue for the weekly Saturday market with some fantastic dining to enjoy.
Heading 4 miles east is the picture-perfect coastal village of Alnmouth where there is a gorgeous golden sandy beach to enjoy some water sports, or a round of golf. A short drive west brings you to the small town of Rothbury, found nestled at the foot of the Simonside Hills and where the River Coquet ebbs and flows. Don’t forget to hop on a boat and take a trip to the famous Farne Islands where you can catch a glimpse of the seals, puffins and over 100,000 seabirds, that call this special place home each year. The flat was all anyone would need and more. Equipped to a very high standard and local amenities within walking distance. The treats left for us were numerous and a lovely surprise.

Great place to stay
We very much enjoyed staying here. The owners are very kind - much appreciated treats plus Christmas decorations! The apartment is excellent. It is warm, well equipped, clean and very comfortable. It was so nice to have easy access to shops, theatre, pubs, etc. There is a lot that goes on in Alnwick! A supermarket is only a 2-3 min walk away. This apartment is highly recommended.

The flat was excellent! We eventually spotted the key box and we are both 5ft 2in and struggled to manipulate the key safe as we could not see what we were doing. Apart from that we had a great time in the flat. Good location and lots of little extras left by owner! Would love to book again and will bring someone taller next time.,
