Casa Almenara is located in Almenara de Tormes, a typical Castilian municipality 15 km from the historic center of Salamanca.
Casa Almenara is a renovated house that manages to combine the traditional flavor with the most modern comforts. Stone, slate and wood are the materials that support it, while a multitude of details give it beauty and originality.
Its patio and garden create a quiet and harmonious space. A few meters away, the bell tower of a Romanesque church from the 12th century provides a unique and pleasant view.

The traditional village of Almenara deserves some walks in its surroundings including its river. The Tormes rests here in the lagoons that an old gravel farm has formed. The Graveras de Almenara are famous for the great ornithological activity and forest diversity, which have given reason to create a center of environmental initiative of obligatory visit.

20 minutes by car, the historic center of Salamanca with its famous Plaza Mayor, reserves a visit to one of the most important monumental cities in Spain. And at the same distance to Portugal is Ledesma, a town famous for its castle, the large houses and its Roman bridge.
Already following the route to Portugal we find emblematic villages such as Trabanca or Monleras until we arrive at the Arribes del Duero and its great gorges.

For wine lovers, 4 km away is the Hacienda Zorita, an old palace converted into an ethnological hotel, where you can enjoy Durius tastings.

Bicycle touring To 8 km direction Salamanca is the Park of Valcuevo, where centennial oaks grow on the river bank. There it is linked to a bike path that leads to Villamayor. There are more cycle routes.
Fishing and canoeing are activities that visitors can exercise in the river. Pediment adjacent to the house. Municipal pool 5 minutes walk.

La Castille dans son expression la plus juste
Population adorable avec la famille et les enfants;des villes qui méritent toutes le détour:Salamanca toujours aussi éternelle,Zamora,Valladolid,Ledesma,la sierra de Francia..On peut passer des semaines dans ces terres peu envahies par le tourisme et tout le monde y trouve son compte:nature sauvage et belle,culture à tous les coins de rues..

Increíble casa
Estuvimos un fin de semana, pero lo suficiente para desconectar y disfrutar. Todo estaba increíble y precioso tanto el encanto de la casa y dueña como el pueblecito. Lo único que nos fallo es el internet que era uno publico del pueblo. E Iva un poco mal. Por lo demás excelente. 💕
