Escape the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy a taste of countryside living in our cosy Catterwood Cottage "Mountain View" with beautiful views of Conic Hill.


Mountain View is a part of recently renovated luxury Catterwood Cottage (which also includes "Raspberry Cottage") in Croftamie, 30 mins drive from Glasgow. The cottage is situated on a quiet private road in Trossachs National Park, where guests can enjoy exploring iconic spots such as Loch Lomond, The Devil's Pulpit, Glengoyne Distillery, and the Campsie Hills.


"Mountain View" can accommodate up to 8 people and includes:


• Fully roofed 9-seater private Hot Tub (included in the price);
• Outdoor fully roofed lounge / gazebo with fairy lights and a dining area with private gas BBQ;

• One bedroom with a comfortable double bed and another bedroom with two double beds, both equipped with wardrobes and full-length mirrors. In the spacious living room, you'll find sofas, a folded bed, and a large dining table;

• Modern, fully equipped kitchen with fridge-freezer, ceramic hob with oven, toaster, kettle, coffee machine;
• Two fully equipped bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with both a shower and a bath;
• TV with Netflix in all Bedrooms, the Living Room and the Outdoor Gazebo;

• Children's Playground with Trampoline, Swings, Darts, and Football Table;

• A wood-fired indoor fireplace;
• A Outdoor Stove with Pizza Oven;

• On-site 24/7 shop with food, snacks and drinks;
• Stunning Mountain View

Linen, hair dryers and complimentary toiletries are supplied as well as children’s travel cots, highchair and suitable cutlery are available on request.
We provide towels, bedding, bedlinen and blankets.


For your furry family members, we are a pet-friendly accommodation, providing comfortable beds and bowls for their stay. A fully fenced private backyard ensures your dog's safety. There is a fee of £25 per dog per stay, we allow up to 3 dogs/booking. Please email us if you wish to bring your pet.

Catterwood Cottage is located about 12 minutes’ walk from the small village of Croftamie. Slightly further afield is Drymen (5 minutes’ drive) with an excellent butcher, well stocked Spar supermarket, a couple of nice places to eat, a bicycle hire shop, a dentist and a doctor's surgery.


Balloch (about 15 minutes’ drive) is on the south shore of Loch Lomond and has a large Co-op supermarket, a branch of Jenners, Hawkeshead outdoor clothing shop, Chinese, Indian and Italian restaurants, take-aways, a marina, boat hire and pleasure cruises on the loch.


As well as the outdoor pursuits around Raspberry Cottage (walking, climbing, cycling, fishing, horse-riding, boating, wildlife watching etc.) there are indoor activities for the rainy days.


In Drymen the Buchanan Hotel has a swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, gym and squash court. Day tickets are usually available to visitors.


There are four distilleries, each within half an hour’s drive of Raspberry Cottage (Deanston, Glengoyne, Loch Lomond and Auchentoshan) all of which conduct tours.


Balloch has a Sealife Centre and some clothes shops on Lomond Shores centre.


Glasgow is about 35 minutes’ drive away and has an excellent Museum of Transport as well as the famed Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery. To avoid having to drive into the town centre it is often easier to catch the train in from Milngavie or Bearsden (about 20 mins drive to these stations).


Stirling (30 minutes’ drive) is also worth a visit for Stirling Castle and nearby National Wallace Monument.



Please note, we do not provide: hot tubs towels, robes and slippers, please bring your own. Alternatively, you can hire towels & robes from our on-site self-service shop.

A Hot Tub Disclaimer must be signed prior to use, and a Security Deposit of £100 is required for all bookings.
