APARTMENT IN VILLA 150 METERS FROM THE SEA, WI-FI, SLEEPS 6 (4 + 2 CHILDREN)
The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, on a small road 150 meters from the sea, in Alcamo Marina, about 4 km from the municipal capital of Alcamo, Balestrate and Castellammare del Golfo.
It is located in the center of the Gulf of Castellammare, characterized by a large beach of golden sand (about 7 km long), considered among the most beautiful in Italy, both in terms of size and the quality of the sand. The beach still preserves the coastal dunes partly protected by dune vegetation.
Its position allows to reach in a short time suggestive places of historical and cultural interest, in addition to the famous seaside resorts such as the Zingaro Nature Reserve, the hamlet and Faraglioni of Scopello, the Theater, the Temple and the Baths of Segesta, San Vito lo Capo, Erice, Trapani, Palermo, Monreale and much more.

Damp apartment with nice water view
My honest and fair review: We stayed in one of two basement apartments in February. Kitchen is nice, recently renovated. Terrace is huge with water views. Moisture: There’s only one heater in the house and it didn’t adequately heat or eliminate the humidity in the back end of the apartment where the bedrooms are. As a result, there was mold on the ceiling and wall of the bedroom. Even the bedding felt damp. I told the owner about the mold problem on our last day. As we were leaving he arrived with special mold cleaner/paint. However the apartment needs a dehumidifier which is costly to run, because electricity is expensive in Italy. Location: Good and bad. Good because there are water views and the apartment is a short walk to the beach (although the path to the beach is a little grungy). Bad because the house is up a steep narrow street and turning into the driveway is an adventure. Once you turn in, it’s a steep driveway down to the parking lot. Getting out is also a challenge. If you are not a confident driver, stay away. Owners: We met father and son upon arrival. Son speaks decent English and would promptly respond to texts; nice people.
