I really have had great stays at this motel ,they hsve a little bar ,Great staff Bartender is really cool , on certain nights they have a dj aswell ,rooms are clean beds are real comfy..highly recommended

This was our second time staying however the last time was 11 years ago. We were pleasantly surprised that the new onwner were just as friend as the last owners and the bed was sooo comfortable!. The room was spacious and clean. Thank you and.we will be back.

It was super cute. Looked like it should have s bunch of classic cars out front. We went inside and it was so modern and adorable. We absolutely loved the 2 room set up with all the kids we had with us. If we travel to NM again we will for sure be staying here.

This is the only time that a motel did not honor my confirmed booking. I was informed on the day I arrived that I would need to move across town to another motel in the middle of my 4 night stay because the motel had received a big contract to host an event. This did not work for me because I chose the hotel based on location since it was within walking distance of a conference I was attending. I informed the staff that I was not happy and they said Oh well. I would not stay there again. I feel their business practices are unethical.

Very cute Route 66 style motel. Room very clean & comfortable. The pool itself was very clean but the area around the pool & outside courtyard area at the lounge had some trash lying around that was still there the next morning (including cigarette butts, even though I had to sign something at check in saying there was no smoking.) A better job & attention to detail could be done in these areas as it is very cute with pretty potted plants, etc. There also were no towels at the pool & the person who checked me in did not mention where to get pool towels even though I asked about the pool. Over all, a good stay & a really cute place with lots of potential.

Loved this place! We're on a cross-country trip along Route 66 and I've wanted to stay in an R66 iconic hotel but was a bit nervous to do so, being accustomed to certain standards. Well, Monterey Motel did not disappoint! In fact, it was probably nicer than any of the Hilton, Marriott, or IHG chains we've stayed at along the way. Got the family room so we could all have our own space. Room had tiled floors (love that) and comfy beds and was fresh & modern inside. Staff was very friendly and accomodating too. Would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at Motel Monterrey was such a pleasant surprise! The room we booked was a cool mix of a classic motel room and a bunk house vibe. It was a refreshing change from the usual setup of two queens and a sofa bed you find in most places. What really made it special was how much the kids loved it. They were thrilled to have their own space with six bunks, each equipped with a privacy curtain, light, and outlet to charge their devices. It added a fun twist to our stay and made them feel right at home. The room itself was clean, comfy, and had just about everything we needed. It’s clear they put thought into the design, and it paid off. Next time we're in Albuquerque, we'll definitely be booking Motel Monterrey again. It's got that eclectic charm and family-friendly feel that we really enjoyed. Highly recommend it for families looking for a unique stay!

Upon entering the room was dirty, shower had left over hair in it from previous person staying. No soap in bathroom sink, no shampoo or conditioner. The shower also leaked a good amount onto the floor. The mini fridge leaked all over carpet and some clothes.

Very nice hotel, beds were all comfy. We had the bunk bed and king suite. My teens and 7 year old loved it. Staff was great for check in and out. I had to call in for directions and help with check in. Only thing is I didn’t know you had to check in at another hotel if you made it in after a certain time.
