Just what we needed
Clean, safe, in a good part of town. Just off the freeway and within a 5 min drive to good food, entertainment and shopping. Was really nice they had an elevator to get to the various floors and parking was very spacious.

Balloon Fiesta
I was staying at this hotel because I went for the balloon fiesta for the first time. I booked 2 days not knowing what to expect and the website said the morning session was 430am until 12pm noon. The fiesta was over by 9am pretty much. The hotel was a 10 minute drive to the park by Lyft, but it took forever to get a driver because of the traffic. The hotel itself was nothing fancy, but clean, basic free breakfast, and close to what I was going for. I asked the front desk clerk, Cesar, very friendly, since the fiesta was over am I able to check out a day early and get a refund of the 2nd night? He told me to follow up with the 3rd party because the hotel was not booked directly thru them. I asked him if he can please make sure to have that i checked out before 11am and that i would call hotels.com. I reached out to hotels.com and they spoke with manager Daniel and the agent Karla was told no and to contact the hotel directly. At this point I'm disappointed I'm losing out on $187 for an unused night. She also was not even able to offer me a credit. I knew I'd be playing phone tag or he said, she said, so I have to take the loss.

I’ve stayed here a few times in the past, I was in a nice room & saw a few balloons go up prior to Albuquerque’s International Balloon Fiesta this weekend coming up. Though I was hoping to use the pool the 4 days I was there, but they said it was under maintenance?? Which I found to be untrue. I even saw some people swimming in it anyways

This hotel was in a safer part of Albuquerque and the price was right for a last minute trip. The room was clean and comfortable, but the swimming pool was closed.

The first room the sink did not drain and the toilet was not attached well. The second room they put me in did not have a phone next to the bed but it was in the other room. This was an inconvienience. Also, the toilet did not flush well. The biggest down side to this hotel which really set me wrong was that they wanted to charge a $25fee for a late check out of only 2 hrs. Unfortunatley they are so short sided that charging this fee may get them $25 but it lost me from returning to that property of Days Inn at all which will cost them thousands in my rental money as well as all the people I tell. So sad they don't get customer service. Also, FYI the breakfast does not have ANY protien. Big thumbs down.

The only shining light was the gentleman that checked us in when we arrived that evening. He was very nice and greeting my family and very apologetic that they could not fulfill my one request for a first floor since we were traveling over 1000 miles and had an infant in tow with a lot of luggage. Instead, we got a third floor Room located directly over the office, which was the exact opposite side of where the elevator was located… that combined with the horribly stained rolling chair in the room, the dirty floor, where we had to throw down Wet towels to clean up our feet before we got into bed so we wouldn’t drag dirt into the bed and then to top it off as I’m getting our breakfast before I leave in the morning there were two young cleaning ladies Who were monopolizing the breakfast station, one was talking to her friend while having a conversation with someone else on Her phone on speaker as well while her friend stood in front of the coffee station, making her waffle and filling up her 24 ounce personal mug and coffee To her liking, All while two other gentleman and Myself who were paying customers to get their breakfast. Just an overall bad experience, probably won’t stay at a Days Inn ever again.

The first room we went in to had a few bugs crawling in the bathtub and on the bedroom floor. When we visited the desk we were given a different room which had no such issue and seemed great. I appreciated how easy the front desk made the switch. Breakfast was fine with self-serve waffles, yogurt, two cereal options, mini-muffins, packaged oatmeal and bread/bagels with jelly or cream cheese, plus juice, coffee, and milk to drink. For the cost ($113 total) the overall quality was passable but nothing impressive.
