Lovely clean apartment great location
Lovely apartment on a great complex, apartment had everything we needed and was very spacious and clean. Pool area is great nice and quiet and the views of the sea from there are lovely. Little shop and cafe onsite next to the pool which was great and the food was really nice and I can recommend their sangria. Not far from the beach and the old town. I would only suggest one thing and that is to have a hair dryer in each room as sharing one between 4 ladies took a while to Get our hair dry but not a major problem, we will definitely be returning really enjoyed our stay! thank you!

Perfect spot for a family break
Everything you need, great shared pool with very friendly staff working at the on-site mini mart. The property is within a small complex of similar apartments ground floor and first floor, all our neighbours were very friendly. Lovely to sit outside and eat in the evenings on the patio. On a hill which is a nice walk up from town and there are great views over the town and beach which is an advantage being higher up. Highly recommended

Fantastic Apartment
The apartment exceeded our expectations and the location is perfect. We loved sitting on the terrace before going out in the evening, the pool area is lovely and clean and not too busy. We found it an easy walk to both the old town and marina.

Fabulous week in Portugal
A lovely spacious apartment that is very well equipped, making it home from home. However, whilst this is not a reflection of the owner, the cleanliness of the property should have been better, and a follow up with the cleaning team is needed. I swept and hosed down the outside areas myself, and it was evident that the internal cleaning wasn’t to the best standard. The property layout is great, with split level housing and great sized rooms and the additional benefit of 2 bathrooms. The benefits of a bar/cafe and shop on site are obvious and the pool area was never too crowded. Overall it’s a nice place that needs just a little more effort to make it sparkle. We also ate at the Windmill Restaurant on site - which is a great experience and a definite must!

View from the Top
Very quiet setting on top of the hill within walking distance of the old town. Very well appointed unit although there was a black mold problem in both bedrooms which we took had to care of ourselves. The one heat pump was not adequate to keep the place warm. Explored the small towns in the Algarve as well as a side trip to Seville, Spain.

Lovely property in a great position
Property is in a lovely position on Windmill Hill with beautiful views overlooking the sea. It was lovely sitting on the terrace of the cafeteria in the evening watching the moon coming up. I was a little worried about the walk from the old town up to Windmill Hill after reading some of the comments but as a 78 year old I did it twice every day! Down to the old town for Sangria during the day and down for dinner in the evening. There is a small train which goes down to the old town from stop 4 very regularly but we didn’t use it. If you have any problems in the property best to email the owner direct who replies immediately. We used Yellowfish taxis, booked on line to pick us up from the airport and return. They were very efficient.

Quiet location 10 min from Old Town
The property is situated in a nice area elevated above the old town. It is an easy 10 min walk down to the Oldtown and beach area, but is a bit more strenuous coming back up. Good exercise if you are fit. The complex has a beautiful pool for a late afternoon swim and rest. The apt. was clean and comfortable. Please note that it does not have AC however for us in mid-Sept we didn't need it as it stayed fairly cool with the front/rear windows open allowing a nice cross breeze. The unit was well stocked in the kitchen. We would have rated higher however some smaller amenities were lacking in our opinion. These were - only one roll of toilet tissue per bathroom, only 1 set of bath towels per bathroom and no garbage bags in kitchen. We were there for 5 nights and felt these were inadequate for that length of stay. Outside of that we enjoyed our stay.

The property was beautiful and perfectly located. Everything was in walking distance and the pool was just steps away and the view from the pool area was just spectacular! The apartment is a really decent size, the complex not too large, the bar is great and staff friendly. Really enjoyed this location, found that we would walk into town (down the slopes) and get a taxi back €3.50 from the town or use Uber which is a good service too. Lots of lovely restaurants and definitely worth booking a trip at the marina to go dolphin watching and a tour of of the coastline. The host at this apartment is very attentive and sorted out immediately a few issues, couldn’t fault it. Well recommended.

The apartment was excellent on a very good site, quiet and a good pool and sunbeds always available. Facilities on site were limited and no food available after 17.50 except in the Windmill Restaurant which is very expensive. A big disappointment was the distance to walk into town and we never found a route shorter than about 20mins. We had decided not to hire a car this year but found the local taxis very convenient and relatively inexpensive. We did not use the check in process but it seems we have to rate it to send the review.

The location was a little challenging to find especially when you arrive in the dark. But once you’re there the location is quiet and comfortable. The bathrooms were modern and clean. Beautiful view at the pool.

Beautiful, well appointed suite.
The property is quite beautiful, as the pictures indicate. The suite was well decorated with pleasing decor and comfortable chairs. The outdoor furniture is very nice. The kitchen is very well stocked. Lovely attention to all the details. The bathrooms are beautiful and the shower was great. The washing machine worked very well. We have a couple of comments on the property description. We came expecting to have an onsite restaurant for a coffee or a breakfast or lunch. The restaurant requires advanced reservation, has two seatings at 7 and 9 and averages 70 euros per person. The property is also located far enough away from restaurants and cafes to not be an easy walk if you aren't good with hills. However, Ubers are wonderful. The air conditioning unit worked well (we had some quite cold nights). The second bedroom was used by my husband and I and is not a comfortable sleep. The beds are very hard and the pillows are not big enough for an adult. Perhaps when possible a mattress upgrade would go along way to accommodating those guests that do not have small children. The last point was the issue that my husband communicated, which was the sulphur odor in the master ensuite. The property manager seemed to never have heard of the issue, but it was very pervasive and as a result we did not use it except to wash some clothes. All in all this is a well decorated suite with lovely modern bathrooms, a well stocked kitchen and comfortable chairs. The ownver obviously tried very hard to think of things that would make a stay enjoyable. Despite the issues mentioned, we had a nice holiday.

It was very clean and very comfortable. We were able to cook meals and everything was an easy walk or uber away! Only mishap was that we broke the coffee pot bowl, so I bought a new coffee machine to replace it.

Windmill Hill August 2022
Fantastic location walkable to beach, marina and Albufeira old town, As the name suggests the complex sits at the top of a hill ok going down but quite tiring coming back. Lovely pool and bar area, very clean plenty of beds and umbrellas. The apartment was clean and comfortable with everything you need. We were initially concerned about the lack of air conditioning but it’s not required the nights are quite cool with a breeze! It is on the ground floor and we encountered a few ants around the kitchen area and dishwasher. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and would definitely visit again.

Bertus & Ingrid are very helpful and always available for any doubts you might have about your stay. The location is perfect, a walking distance from the city centre & marina without compromising the quietness and tranquility you expect during your holidays.
