The view is spectacular. I took 1 star out, as there were noise pretty obvious from next door when taking a bath or so. Aside, during the stay, there was a rainy and stormy night, the sounds of the wind were loud and scary. My husband and I could not sleep well due to the noise level. Overall, I still love the view and I wish the noise level can be improved. Would definitely recommended to stay in this place, as it is such a beautiful hotel with nice view.

The property is beautiful and hearing the ocean all night while sleeping was indescribable :) The room was clean and very comfortable. Check in was easy and the staff were so nice and engaging. The location is 10 minutes from Mendocino center and 20 from fort Bragg, very easy drive. It was the perfect end to 4 days hiking and camping on the redwoods:)

Needs updating but beautiful view.
Amazing view but needs work. The property is clearly dated and there is a lack of amenities including outlets to plug in anything. The property requires some updating and yes, I understand the lodge charm but cobwebs and insects inside is not acceptable.

My husband and I loved it here. No TV. WiFi is spotty but you just get to disconnect and relax. The fireplace was setup so you just needed a match. The view was amazing. We loved the interior. The bathroom needed upgrading but that wouldn’t hold me back from going there. The food was delicious everything and we loved our waiter. He just moved there from southern CA. No one bothered us. We barely saw anyone and they let us borrow binoculars. I would highly recommend this place.

Beautiful surroundings. This used to be the ultimate Mendocino property. For the price, the room was not well appointed, the soaking tub was just a regular bathtub, the sliding glass door stuck, and the screen door did not close without effort. The staff on the other hand was excellent.
