I forgot to request first floor room but they remembered this from precious visit and because they did not have a standard room on first floor they gave us an upgraded room at no extra charge! AWESOME

Didn't realize I only had 1500 characters, so I had to start over. Yes, it was that bad. Toilet wouldn't flush, so they handed me a plunger, it still didn't work so I was stuck with a toilet that didn't flush for the night. I could hear every word of the conversation that was going on in the room next door. I found and killed two German cockroaches. There was an old dirty washcloth lying over the shower curtain bar, microwave had food splashed in it. I slept very little, then went in the morning to show them the roaches and tell them the toilet was broken, and to ask that I be moved that night to a new room upstairs. I didn't want to deal with the hassle of finding a new hotel and I didn't have the money. New room the 2nd night had TWO dirty washcloths dry and shriveled up, hanging over the shower curtain bar. Apparently the maids don't look on top of the shower curtain bar?! The room smelled a combo of rotten fish and old man BO, but hey, at least the toilet flushed, right?! I felt so dirty and disgusting after staying there. I stay in hotels around 3x per month, and I have never experienced anything like this. I understand staffing is short, but broken toilets, dirty towels, dirty microwaves, and stained bed spreads?! Not okay. I chose the hotel bc the rating was high, so I knew it was cheap, but I thought it would at least be clean. It was a dump. If I had more money I would have left and got a new hotel, but I was stuck for the night. Do better Red Roof!
