Perfect house for a family get together, but needs some maintenance
The house is beautiful and in a perfect location. It is huge and has a high end kitchen and the master bedroom is a dream! The gardens are lovely and it is well set up for a dog. On the negative side, it needs some maintenance. The lights shorted out, the toilet in the master bedroom ran continuously, and the water had to be turned off after the cistern had filled. There were dirty cutlery in the dishwasher and there were some pans that had been put in the cupboard covered in grease. My son also cut his foot on the metal strip on the kitchen floor. The coffee machine wasn't working, but the owner dropped a new one is within an hour of me letting him know, and the maintenance man turned up to fix the problems, but we were in the middle of dressing for a wedding, including the bridal party. The owner is lovely and helpful, and hopefully will address the maintenance issues in this lovely property

Large & comfortable
We enjoyed the lovely home & the space it offered. There is no heating in the lower bedrooms but there is electric blankets on beds. We loved the open fire in the rumpus area but not enough wood supplied for a 2 day stay we had to go buy extra bags of wood. Loved the fantastic dining room and the big meals we had around the table. No broom or dustpan made life difficult - had to drag the vacuum out. There are a lot of rules sent on the day of check in which I think should be on the advertised site. There are multiple cameras everywhere out side which are not mentioned either on the site.
