I usually don't rate hotels if I only stayed 1 night. But I had to warn off people who read how great this hotel is. If I was in my late teens and backpacking on a budget with friends, it would be great. I ended up there as I transited in Accra on my way to next door Ivory Coast. But what exactly was wrong?
Everything: The door to the room didn't close properly; the toilet didn't flush, unless you remove the WC's tank cover and pull the lever yourself so that the water would go down. Of the 4 electric plugs in the room, only 1 worked; so I had to wake up every 2-3 hours to check if my phone had enough juice so I could unplug it and put in my iPad, then once the iPad had enough, replace it with my laptop..
Also, the WiFi didn't work, not inside the room. But by standing outside the room in the corridor with my laptop, I could pick up 2 bars of signal. Of course, I couldn't stand in the corridor for long. So, had to go back inside my room. This is a 1.5 star hotel.
The AC made a raucus when on. I had to turn it off to get some sleep.
The rooms' curtains are the single, thin, almost transparent type. If you’re on the ground floor, the guy doing his security rounds can see you (and you can see him).
Mind you, as Elite member, I had what they called an Executive Room. I wonder what the regular rooms were like. The breakfast? A joke: bland eggs (no cheese) with a piece of bread. No other choice. I've seen Motel-6 on I-95 far more luxurious.
